Foundation Center Resources
Until our tax dollars are distributed as we determine, the Library will strive to offer a variety of resources to assist in raising funds for our communities, including the Foundation Center’s Funding Information Network.
The Foundation Center is one of the nation’s leading resources on philanthropy and serves grant-seekers, grant-makers, and the general public.
As a partner in this network, we are able to provide visitors with free public access to powerful tools such as:
- Foundation Directory Online – Searchable database of over 100,000 grant-makers. Available in the Library on our public computers, or on your laptop via our wireless network. Using your iOS or Android device, you can log onto the mobile app while visiting the Library to gain access to the directory for 24 hours, even after leaving the Library.
- Foundation Grants to Individuals Online – Geared toward individuals and small organizations, this database includes over 10,000 foundations and public charitable programs. Available in the Library on our public computers or on your laptop via our wireless network.
- Philanthropy In/Sight – Uses aggregated data and demographic maps to reveal patters of foundation giving and funding relationships. Available in the Library on our public computers or on your laptop via our wireless network.
Appointments to use the Foundation Center resources are temporarily unavailable. Please check back later.
We also provide occasional workshops and training sessions on using Foundation Center materials and other fundraising issues. If you want to learn about these opportunities and additions to the collection, sign up for our e-newsletter by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
